What makes Basiq Flow different from outdated barcode systems?

Basiq Flow is an RFID-based inventory system. An RFID tag is unique, unlike a barcode, which is generic for a product type. The Basiq Flow scanner can read up to 200 labels per second—something that’s simply not possible with manual counting or a barcode scanner. Plus, there’s no need to apply labels yourself: all products ordered from Basiq Dental are delivered pre-labelled. If you still wish to manage barcode-labelled products, the Basiq Flow scanner supports this as well.

My inventory is spread across multiple locations – how does this work?

During the onboarding process, you can specify multiple stock locations. Basiq Flow guides you through each area during a scan, ensuring that no location is overlooked.

I still have products in my inventory without an RFID tag – what now?

When you contact one of our team members and are ready to get started with Basiq Flow, we recommend that—if you are not yet a Basiq Dental customer—you begin by ordering from us for a period of 6–8 weeks. During this time, we advise you to use up your existing, non-labelled stock. After this period, at least 80% of your non-labelled inventory will typically be used, and you will receive your scanner. From that point on, you can start ordering based on your actual stock levels.

Your inventory is constantly being replenished. If you happen to order a bit more of a product that hasn’t yet been RFID-labelled, this will automatically correct itself with your next order cycle. The unlabelled product will be used up, and the newly delivered, tagged item will be scanned during your next ordering scan. Most importantly, you won’t run the risk of running out of essential products during this initial transition period.
